Public Notice - Sheffield and Elyria Townships

The Office of Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney is currently in the process of collecting survey data and completing environmental studies to complete the construction documents associated with the replacement and upgrade of the traffic signal at the intersection of North Ridge Road and Elyria Avenue in Sheffield and Elyria Townships. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2025 and traffic will be maintained during the work. No additional right of way will be required to construct the project. The estimated cost of the new traffic signal is $387,000 of which 90% is being funded through a grant from the federal highway administration.
