3/6/25 -- District 9 of the Ohio Public Works Commission is  accepting applications for membership on its Natural Resource Assistance Council. The terms of four (4) current members are set to expire on September 24, 2025.

  Public Notice - Carlisle Township
   
12/19/24 -- The Office of Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney is currently in the process of collecting survey data and completing environmental studies to facilitate the design of the final construction documents associated with the resurfacing of East River Road between Chestnut Ridge Road and the City of Elyria�s southerly corporation limit in Carlisle Township.  Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026 and traffic will be maintained during the work.  Additional right of way will not be required to construct the project.  The estimated cost of the improvement is $1,076,968 of which 80% is being funded by a grant from the federal highway administration through the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency. Public Notice - City of Elyria, Elyria and Carlisle Townships

Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2025 and traffic will be maintained during the work.  Additional right of way will not be required to construct the project.  The estimated cost of the improvement is $1,450,000 of which 63% is being funded by a grant from the federal highway administration through the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency.
