School Field Trips

We feel school age children should have an opportunity to see, hear, and learn about the County Engineer, specifically the educational process, job responsibilities, general work and the types of equipment employed.

Therefore, I would like you to know our facilities & equipment are available for class field trips. There, the students would get a first hand look at the facility and the equipment we employ on a daily basis. Experienced personnel would be there to describe the equipment, answer questions and, weather permitting, performing demonstrations.

In addition, I would be available to address student classes relating to the educational and practical aspects of County Engineers. We have found that students of all ages seem to enjoy the opportunity to inspect up close and learn about the pieces of machinery used. Students in the higher grades also enjoyed the equipment, but held additional interest in the specifics of what a County Engineer does.
