The Office of Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney is currently in the process of collecting survey data and completing environmental studies to complete the design/build documents associated with the replacement of Hawley Road Bridge No. 823 in Wellington Township. The bridge is located approximately 0.63 miles North of State Route 18 on Hawley Road. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2025 and will involve detours to facilitate the work. Additional right of way will be required to construct the project. The estimated cost of the bridge is $1,083,200 of which 95% is being funded through a grant from the federal highway administration.
