Public Notice - Brownhelm Township and the City of Vermilion

The Office of Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney is currently in the process of collecting survey data and completing environmental studies to facilitate the design of the final construction documents associated with the replacement and upgrade of the traffic signal at North Ridge and Baumhart Roads in Brownhelm Township and the City of Vermilion. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2028 and traffic will be maintained during the work. Additional right of way will not be required to construct the project. The estimated cost of the improvement is $355,228 of which 80% is being funded through a grant from the federal highway administration through the County Engineer�s Association of Ohio. The balance will be provided by the Lorain County Engineer Permissive Account.
